THQ and adidas Bring the miCoach Training System to Consoles

The miCoach training system, which features everything from real-time feedback on your performance to encouragement from professional athletes is headed to consoles early next year. The console versions of the miCoach system will allow players to sync their wireless miCoach hardware or mobile phone app to the console to track workout data whether home or away.

Utilizing advanced video game console technology, users will be able to create profiles, set fitness goals and get instant analyses of workout regimens.  They will choose from several sports, such as running, tennis, football (soccer), American football and basketball, as well as the athletes who guide them through hours of on-screen training and motivating game experiences.

If you’ve been looking for a way to integrate your workouts at home with exercise when you’re on the move, miCoach may be just what you’ve been waiting for.

Lewis Pollak has been a member of the Gaming Trend community since before it held that name, and they finally let him join the staff all these years later, probably so he would stop asking. His illustrious career encompasses such ridiculous decisions as quitting medical school to start a tabletop RPG company and briefly becoming a car salesman.

A gamer since the days of loading 'Hunt the Wumpus' and 'Eliza' from cassette on a TRS-80, Lewis enjoys card and board games, as well as video games. He enjoys the dying breed known as the turn-based RPG, as well as racing, puzzle, and adventure titles. He has also been known to give his life over to MMORPGs for extended periods of time.
