Today, Remedy released the Open House update for FBC: Firebreak. The update introduces new arenas inspired by Control in the Endless Shift game mode as well as general gameplay and balance improvements.

In Endless Shift mode, you can now visit the Cafeteria, Aircon Room, Ranger HQ, Turntable, and Ritual Lobby while enjoying all the tweaks that have made combat cleaner, smoother and more flexible. If you haven't moved into the Oldest House yet, you can try before you buy with the Friend's Pass. Players who own the game can invite up to two friends to join their sessions using a special version of the game. Friend's Pass players can't create new sessions or start their own lobbies, but they can experience the full game alongside any cross platform pals. If you're someone who'd rather watch, there are a few Twitch drops you can earn by watching the game on that platform including the Researcher Armor Set (Threshold Revision) and Overseer Armor (Threshold Revision).

If you'd rather slap down a deposit right now, good news! The game has permanently decreased in price:

  • Base Game: $19.99 / €19.99 / £16.74
  • Deluxe Edition: $29.99 / €29.99 / £26.74

In addition, to celebrate the release of this patch, the game is 20% off until the end of March. While Open House is the final major content update for FBC: Firebreak rest assured the game will remain online and playable for the foreseeable future.

FBC: Firebreak was built by a team fueled by passion and experimentation. That spirit shaped the game, but the moments that brought it to life were the ones that players created together,” says FBC: Firebreak Game Director Mike Kayatta.

“We want to make sure those moments can continue for the players who are already here, and for anyone else looking for a high-energy, low-pressure game night with friends. That's why the relay servers are staying up, the price is going down, and a Friend's Pass is going in. From all of us on the team, thank you for your own passion and experimentation, and we'll see you in there,” he continues.
