Dispatch is coming to us from AdHoc Studio. You’ll recognize some of the writers and directors from Tales from the Borderlands and The Wolf Among Us.

We are taking the role of Robert Robertson, who was once known as Mecha Man. He had his suit destroyed while facing his nemesis and was knocked into a coma. He has to take a job at a superhero dispatch center as a dispatcher. The interesting thing here is that he is in charge of rehabilitating a group of ex-supervillains.

We are told that we must manage our roster, navigate office relationships, and try to rebuild our suit.

In Dispatch, every decision you make influences the unfolding narrative. From banter in the breakroom to life-or-death situations in the field, your choices affect your relationships with the heroes, their allegiances, and the path your own story takes. – Steam Page
Use the strategy map to review ongoing emergencies and deploy the right (or wrong) heroes to deal with them. Balance the risks and rewards as you make tactical decisions, knowing that each choice can have lasting consequences for your team and the city. – Steam Page
Managing heroes sometimes goes beyond their powers. Each hero comes with quirks, flaws, and baggage you’ll need to navigate to keep the team together. Upgrade their skills and unlock abilities to boost their effectiveness in the field. – Steam Page

With those three quotes in mind, it will be interesting to see how our choices shape the unfolding narrative. What I am looking forward to the most is the balance. How many characters can we lose? How many endings will the game have?

We won’t have to wait for long, though, because the game releases on October 22, 2025.
