Survive the Highstorm and Escape the Shattered Plains with Brandon Sanderon’s Way of Kings VR Experience

The immensely popular cosmere of #1 New York Times best-selling author Brandon Sanderson will soon be expanding to VR. Arcturus and DMG Entertainment have released a trailer for The Way of Kings, Escape the Shattered Plains VR experience, along with a March 2nd release date. Available for Steam and Viveport, Escape the Shattered Plains will allow fans to step into the world of the Stormlight Archive series, which has sold more than 15 million copies.

In this immersive, narrative experience, players will take on the role of Kaladin, a young man attempting to come to terms with a budding magical ability. He will have to survive harsh terrain, a war-torn country, and strange creatures within the mythical realm of Roshar, a land where storms of incredible power frequently tear through and reshape the land. Fortunately, Kaladin is not facing the Shattered Planes alone. With the fairy-like Syl as their guide, players will have to survive an unrelenting tempest on the Shattered Plains, learn to harness the magical power of stormlight, and do battle with with both mystical beasts and the sinister Parshendi warriors.

The short form adaption was written by Joshua Rubin, the lead writer behind Destiny and Assassin’s Creed, and has been developed with oversight from Sanderson himself.
