Star Wars Battlefront II’s first free season, The Last Jedi, has officially begun

Just before the release of the eight episode in the Star Wars saga, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Star Wars: Battlefront II is beginning its first season. This season will include two new playable heroes: Finn, the stormtrooper-turned-hero from The Force Awakens, and The First Order’s Captain Plasma. These characters will be available on December 13th.

Season one’s content will be free for all players, including two new stages from Star Wars: The Last Jedi: Crait and D’Qar. In addition to multiplayer content, the single player campaign will receive an update as well when Iden Versio returns in Star Wars: Battlefront II Resurrection.

This free DLC was promised during EA’s E3 presentation earlier this year, however, it’s not confirmed whether Finn and Captain Plasma will still cost credits and if so, how much their cost will be. However, the grinding has been relieved by recently including 3X the credits in arcade mode, bigger payout at the end of the round, and including more parts in daily login crates.

The Last Jedi season has already begun with the Choose a Side event where players will choose to either align themselves with The First Order or the Resistance. The full list of updates and they will be released is available on the official website.
