We had an amazing experience (our review here) playing Star Trek: Bridge Crew, utilizing it’s awesome cross-play with PlayStation VR, Oculus Rift, and HTC Vive. Today, the Ubisoft Red Storm team announced that two new groups of crew members will be able to join your team — non-VR players, and those utilizing Windows Mixed Reality devices. The free update that should be patching your client right now also delivers some fresh visual upgrades for those on PC with enough horsepower to run them. Better still, Game Director Brian Tate and Sr. Creative Director David Votypka also hinted at some new features “coming soon”. Could this be an official expansion pack? More multiplayer away missions? New single-player adventures? All I know is that I couldn’t be more excited. I think it’s time to get the most unprofessional crew in Starfleet back together again…
Star Trek Bridge Crew is available on PlayStation VR, HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, Microsoft AR, and now pancake-screened PCs. It was also highly recommended in our holiday guide. Now you have NO reason to not pick it up!
