Square-Enix has released the first live footage of Final Fantasy XV in action at this year’s TGS.
A Square-hosted event was broadcasted on NicoNico, where director Hajime Tabata claimed that he wanted to show some live gameplay due to speculation on the internet that the recently released trailer for the game was pre-rendered.
Final Fantasy XV has been in development for nearly a decade, having been revealed back in 2006 under the name Final Fantasy Versus XIII as a PlayStation 3 exclusive. The game was later re-revealed as the fifteenth mainline iteration in the series of PlayStation 4 and Xbox One at Sony’s E3 press conference last year.
Recently, it was confirmed that a demo for Final Fantasy XV will be included in Final Fantasy Type-0 HD when it launches on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in March.
