Square Enix teams up with Platinum Games on Babylon’s Fall

During Square Enix’s E3 press conference on Monday, they teased a new project in the works being helmed by prolific action game developers, Platinum Games. The Bayonetta and Vanquish developers did not give much information, only a short, stylish teaser. The teaser is set in the vaguely medieval fantasy setting that is core to many of Square Enix’s RPG franchises, and they seem to have built a lengthy historical backdrop for their story.

Aside from those small bits of information, they did not get into too many specifics. All we know now is that it is expected to launch in 2019 on PS4 and Steam, so it will be a little bit before we get to learn just what was actually going on in that trailer.

Nathan lives in Colorado catching Pokemon on the Go and at home. He previously spent three months interning for Game Informer before coming back to Gaming Trend to spread the good word on video games. His real passion, though, is collecting different versions of the 3DS and other weird Nintendo garbage. It's a never-ending quest for less space in his house.
