While Final Fantasy XV doesn’t have a concrete release window, Square-Enix has expressed interest in getting the game out worldwide simultaneously.
The Final Fantasy series typically has a staggered release in different territories, but Final Fantasy XV’s new director, Hajime Tabata, has said that he would like to get the game released worldwide, whenever that may ultimately be.
“Unfortunately I can’t tell you when it will be released, but I believe that we’d like to release it around the world,” Tabata told LevelUp. “We’re not thinking about delaying the game in different parts around the world. We’d like to have everyone experience Final Fantasy XV together, and as close as possible.”
While Final Fantasy XV has been in development for nearly a decade, the game’s migration to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One has set the game’s development back to the point where Square claims the game is 55% through development as of September. A demo of the game will be available to those who purchase a copy of Final Fantasy Type-0 in its first shipment.
