One of the best aspects of previous Splinter Cell titles (Specifically Pandora Tomorrow) was the Spies vs. Mercs multiplayer mode. It was stacked full of strategy, required cooperative play, and it extended the gameplay far beyond anything simple deathmatch-style matches could ever offer. Well, Ubisoft is going to resurrect the mode with their upcoming reboot title, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist. For those who are just jumping into the series with this title, let me tell you that you are in for an awesome experience – check it out:
In the Spies vs. Mercs mode, the stealthy and agile spies must extract sensitive data while the powerful and heavy armored Mercs must use any means necessary to stop them. Each team has different abilities and tools at their disposal to outsmart their opponents in an exciting, redefined multiplayer experience.
The game is hitting shelves on Xbox 360, PS3, PC and Wii U on August 20th. It is one of our most anticipated titles of this year, and with good reason. Check out this fantastic trailer to see why….
