Are you a fan of a certain speedy blue hedgehog? If so, you’ll be happy to know that Sega has announced a new unlockable story available to gamers who purchase both Sonic the Hedgehog Episodes I and II for the same platform. The extra story, called Episode Metal, will allow Sonic fans to close the gap between the two episodes playing as Metal Sonic. The gameplay will start with parts of Episode I played from a different perspective and continue into the beginning of Episode II. Both Episode II and Episode Metal will be released on the same day on nearly every platform imaginable.
Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode II, and Episode Metal, will be available on May 15 for PlayStation®Network ($14.99) and on May 16 for Xbox LIVE® Arcade for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft (1200 points). The game will also be available on Android devices, iOS, PC digital download and Windows Mobile Phones later this spring.
If you can’t wait until the release date next month, check out this trailer for a little taste of the fast-paced action.
Breanna has been gaming since infancy, if gnawing on an unattended controller counts as playing a game. One of the younger members of the Gaming Trend family, she dabbled in PC games as a kid but wasn't fully consumed by the hobby until the sixth generation of consoles. Now an avid PC and console gamer, she looks forward to the day when she can scape together enough cash to join the next gen club.
In the last week of middle school, a math teacher taught her how to program a calculator; she was pretty much hooked then and there. Currently working towards a degree in Computer Science and Applied Math, Breanna hope to someday make games instead of just writing about them. Other hobbies include playing guitar, binge-watching Netflix, and cooking delicious food.
