Levity Play announced today that it will release Skyfront, its first VR game on PC later next month. The zero-gravity FPS will be released on Steam Early Access for PC on September 29, and will support the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift headsets.
The game offers a classic multiplayer FPS experience where players engage in zero-gravity battle spheres set in an idyllic future [think “Halo: Forge” meets “Ender’s Game”]. Around the world, cities of old have been raised to the skies and converted to omnidimensional battle arenas, where you have to pick your weapons and fight for glory!
The VR game mechanics take advantage of the unique characteristics of VR motion controllers and make for an intuitive and immersive experience unlike anything on PC or console.
For Early Access, the game will include one zero-gravity battle arena, Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch modes, three different weapons, and four special abilities for strategic advantages. The full title will include five game modes, five to six maps, and a whole slew of content for players.
Skyfront will be released on Early Access September 29. Check out the trailer above, and stay tuned for more news here on Gaming Trend.
