PC Gamer has the inside scoop on a title that caught me by surprise at E3 – SimCity. This reboot of the series will hit shelves on March 5th, 2013. They also confirmed that there is a permanent online connection requirement, but there are conflicting bits of data on this. Supposedly it does not require an always-on connection, but simply a cursory check before you start to play. The heavy emphasis on playing with your friends and trading with their cities is a big lure for me, so I’m not too worried about the connection requirements. Short, sweet and to the point – this title looks like it’ll bring in a whole new generation of city builders. Look for more coverage as we get closer to that date.
