Shadow of the Colossus is coming to PS4—fully remastered!

During its E3 press conference Monday night, Sony revealed gameplay of a fully remastered version of Japan Studio’s legendary title, Shadow of the Colossus. The game will come to PS4 in 2018.

Originally released on the PS2 in 2005, Shadow of the Colossus is an action-adventure game created by Team Ico of Japan Studio, directed by Fumito Ueda. The game has been highly acclaimed both in its time and today, often referred to as one of the grandest achievements in video game history. Back in 2011, both Shadow of the Colossus and its predecessor, Ico, were remastered by Bluepoint Games for the PS3, though this project was simply an upgrade to 1080p resolution; with Shadow of the Colossus for PS4, BluePoint Games will be overhauling the graphics entirely.

Shadow of the Colossus will be the second Team Ico game to arrive on the PS4, after 2016’s The Last Guardian launched on the console nearly ten years after its initial announcement.
