Sales of the PlayStation 4 have passed two million units in Japan

Using recent numbers published from the Japanese marketing research company Media Create (via Gematsu), it’s being reported that the PlayStation 4 has officially sold two million units in Japan — selling 27,311 units alone during the week of November 9.

News of this milestone comes not long after Sony announced a price cut for the PlayStation 4 in Japan, effective on October 1.

Sony’s Michael Denny recently claimed that the PS4’s install base is “well over 25 million.”
