Sabrent unleashes high-speed 8TB NVMe on the PlayStation 5!

Sabrent is shipping a HUGE upgrade for their NVMe drives, if you’ve got the spare cash to afford it.  BEHOLD — the PS5-compatible 8TB Rocket NVMe.  To say that you’d have storage to spare would be a gross understatement.  We’ll get to the price in a minute, but let’s talk about the specs first.

The Sabrent 8TB Rocket 4 PLUS NVMe 4.0 Gen4 PCIe M.2 Internal SSD Extreme Performance Solid State Drive (SB-RKT4P-4TB) delivers all the advantages of flash disk technology with PCIe Gen4.0 x4 interface.

Based on TLC NAND Flash memory, its performance speeds can reach up to 7100 MB/s (read) and 6600 MB/s (write) when using a PCIe Gen4 motherboard. Using a PCIe Gen3 Motherboard, Speeds will reach up to 3400 MB/s (read) and 3000 MB/s (write).

The Sabrent 8TB Rocket 4+ Nvme PCIe 4.0 M.2 2280 Internal SSD is backward compatible with PCIe 3.0. Using a Gen 3 PCIe motherboard will enable the user to reach speeds of up to 3400 MB/s (read) and 3000 MB/s (write).

The Sabrent M.2 NVMe Heatsink for the PS5 Console is the only heatsink you should consider. With fantastic cooling performance and heat dissipation, your SSD will stay cool throughout your gaming sessions. Engineered to fit perfectly and easily into the PS5 Console’s SSD expansion slot for a quick and easy install.

This drive also sports a high-quality CNC’d aluminum heat sink, specifically designed to withstand the amount of power this drive will push while being contained inside the PlayStation 5 without requiring active cooling.  This newest one replaces the console’s drive cover (not the actual cover plates), but if you are concerned about cooling, there are awesome third party cover plates that can add some ventilation to your system.

The big question, of course, is “how much”.  The Sabrent 8TB NVMe will set you back $1,009.99, though you can drop that down to $894.81 if you can take advantage of the Amazon Visa rewards program.  If want to pick one up, they’re available right now!
