Roll20 celebrates Dungeons & Dragons’ 50th anniversary with an exclusive adventure on Discord

Roll20 is proud to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Dungeons & Dragons with a special promotion featuring a free one-shot adventure designed specifically for the Roll20 virtual tabletop and fully playable within any Discord server.

The Voyage Into Discord campaign provides users of the chat platform seamless access to the beloved role-playing game via their App Launcher, and invites both seasoned players and newcomers alike to explore, strategize, and adventure through a long-lost hub world filled with forgotten magic and vampire-haunted ruins. Players must work together to restore the town’s ancient protective wards before sunset or face an undead onslaught in a desperate battle to save the realm.

Claimable through the end of October in Roll20’s Discord Activity, this spooky Fifth Edition campaign offers a self-contained play experience for three to six first to third-level characters. It features six pre-generated characters and a fully integrated character sheet for players who prefer to build their own. The included adventure maps are set up with Dynamic Lighting, accessible to Roll20 subscribers, and the campaign’s handouts are organized to easily guide the campaign’s Dungeon Master through the adventure from start to finish.

To claim the free adventure, join or create a Voice Channel on any Discord server, click the Rocket Ship button and select the Roll20 Activity. (If you don’t need Voice/Video, you can also launch using the Shapes/Apps button in the lower-right corner of any text channel.) Once in the Activity, you’ll find Voyage Into Discord under the Dungeons & Dragons system on the Explore page.

Roll20 has all three 2024 Dungeons & Dragons Core Rulebooks available in a convenient Bundle on their Marketplace. The 2024 Player’s Handbook is available now and can be played in any campaign on Discord. The Dungeon Master’s Guide and Monster Manual will be released in November and February respectively and are available for pre-order.
