Rock Band 4’s PC port crowdfunding campaign fails to reach goal

After failing to meet its $1.5 million Fig funding goal, Harmonix has made the decision to not bring Rock Band 4 to PC.

The company released a statement through its Fig page, stating that “there doesn’t seem to be enough of an audience to make Rock Band for PC a viable project for [Harmonix] right now.” The fundraising campaign managed to raise a little over half of its goal with $792,817 pledged to help development costs of a PC port, and while Harmonix is still open to the idea of one day bringing Rock Band 4 to PC, it confirmed on Fig that it has no current plans in the works about any alternatives means of doing so.

Rock Band 4 launched on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One last October, and Harmonix will be supporting it with monthly updates. For more on the game, check out Gaming Trend’s review.
