Last year’s Rise of the Tomb Raider will feature additional content, including a new co-op mode and a mini-campaign with optional VR support when it comes to PlayStation 4 on October 11th.
“Blood Ties,” the new VR level, will take place in Croft manor, and focus on Lara’s mission to prove her claim to the manor and her father’s secrets inside. The level also features an additional mode called “Lara’s Nightmare,” where the player will defend a haunted Croft manor from zombies and attempt to banish an evil presence from within.
The new gameplay mode, called “Endurance,” is a two-player survival mode, where the player must forage for food, fuel, and other resources to survive. The day brings harsh weather, and the night brings hordes of enemies, so players will find no rest for the weary. Endurance will also feature a leaderboard, so players can fight to survive the longest and brag to their friends.
The PS4 version of Rise of the Tomb Raider will feature all previous DLC as well. A version without the VR level will be available on Xbox One and PC the same date.
