When our very own tabletop Editor in Chief, Mike Dunn, sat down to talk with Matthew Lillard about his latest collaborative venture, we were introduced to a new adventure that pairs your narrative experience with an unexpected companion. Lillard had been hard at work with Tyler Jacobson and Kate Welsh developing a line of products “specifically geared for people in the RPG community and the fantasy sort of aficionados”, which came to be known as Quest’s End Whiskey. Each flavor in this line will be accompanied by a graphic novel that follows the story of Seron of the Pit, a paladin of the god Inksa. The story will be continued with each release.
The inaugural release, Paladin, went on sale on October 6th and was a huge success, so much so that requests to bring it back have been flooding their inboxes since. The overwhelming support they have received over the last month has encouraged them to bring it back, but with a slight twist. Paladin +1, while the story and flavor remain the same, refreshes the design of the bottle with a burst of blue. This redesign honors the uniqueness of the original release while also giving those who missed out a chance to get a taste of the adventure for themselves.
This rerelease goes live on November 15th. You can get it at www.questsendwhiskey.com or on the distributor Seelbach’s website, with early access for those who signed up for the Paladin waiting list. The only caveat here is that these will not arrive until the spring due to the premium design and bottle elements, but it’ll surely be worth the wait!
Their next release, Rogue, is slated to arrive as planned early next year as well!
