Having only been released on Friday, Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire have sold over 3 million copies across North America, Australia, and Japan.
Famitsu reports that the exact number currently sits at 3,040,000, with 1,534,593 of those coming from Japan.
The latest mainline games in the series, Pokemon X and Y, sold 4 million copies in a similar timeframe, but were also released globally, while the Ruby and Sapphire remakes have yet to be released in Europe.
