Steam Early Access smash hit Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds will be making its way onto consoles sometime this year. During Microsoft’s E3 press conference, Brendan Greene, lead designer on PUBG, was welcomed to the stage to announce that the Battle Royale-style multiplayer shooter will arrive on Xbox One in late 2017.

Greene stated that Battlegrounds’s release on Xbox One would be a “console launch exclusive,” leaving a potential PlayStation 4 release still up in the air. In addition, players who purchase the game for Microsoft’s upcoming Xbox One X console will be able to enjoy the game with 4K resolution and HDR support.

Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds frantic 100-player matches are now being enjoyed by over 3 million players on Steam Early Access, where you can also get in on the action for just $30.
