Nighthawk Games announces Half Truth: Second Guess, a standalone sequel to the hit party game

Jeopardy!’s Ken Jennings and Magic: The Gathering creator Richard Garfield reunite for Half Truth: Second Guess, the sequel to the hit trivia party game Half Truth:

Following the massive success of the critically acclaimed Half Truth, Nighthawk Games is proud to announce that the crowdfunding campaign for Half Truth: Second Guess, the much-anticipated stand-alone sequel to the hit trivia party game, is now LIVE on Kickstarter. Plans for future retail availability are in the works. Created by Jeopardy! host and champion Ken Jennings and visionary game designer Richard Garfield (creator of Magic: The Gathering), Half Truth: Second Guess features all-new trivia content, team-based gameplay, and a design that’s accessible, challenging, and endlessly fun for both trivia buffs and casual players alike.

Half Truth: Second Guess takes everything fans loved about the original game and adds even more features to up the ante. The new game introduces team competition and includes 200 brand-new trivia questions. It supports up to 12 players—double the original—making it the perfect trivia party game.

And for those who already own the original game, the two versions are cross-compatible, creating even more opportunities for play.

“Working on Half Truth: Second Guess with Ken has been such a rewarding experience. We set out to create a trivia game that’s accessible to everyone, and I believe we’ve succeeded,” said Garfield. “I’m excited for players to dive in and I hope they’ll love the new team dynamics as much as we do.”

With a unique twist on traditional trivia, Half Truth: Second Guess lets players provide between one and three answers to each question, balancing risk and reward. Correct answers earn points, and the more players guess, the more points they can earn. However, a single wrong answer scores zero points and can cost players everything for that round! With its blend of intuition, strategy, and trivia knowledge, the game offers limitless replayability and competition for players of all skill levels.
