Today, New World Interactive announced that the sequel to Insurgency, Insurgency: Sandstorm, is in development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The developer has also released a trailer that showcases the game’s story mode.
Designed to build off of the original Insurgency’s success, Insurgency: Sandstorm will include a story mode that can be played with two or four players cooperatively, as they assume the role of a party cut off from support across a war-torn landscape on a deeply personal new mission.
Like Insurgency, the gameplay of Sandstorm rewards teamwork and objective-play over personal success. Players will see new features such as drivable light vehicles, character customization, unlockable cosmetic items, fire support requests, ranked matchmaking, and more.
Insurgency: Sandstorm will be available for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One. Watch the trailer above, check out our preview for the first game, and stay tuned for more E3 news here on Gaming Trend.
