Artyom’s arsenal expands even more with a new Metro Exodus trailer showcasing the four main classes of weapons. Additional details on the weapons system in the game have been revealed as well such as needing to clean your weapon to prevent it from jamming or overheating.
The Metro series is well known for its distinctive firearms – for Metro Exodus, 4A Games completely overhauled the weapons system, ensuring each gun is mechanically functional, and can be customized in the field allowing for hundreds of tactical permutations. Additionally, weapons now need to be cleaned and maintained to prevent overheating and jamming, deepening Metro’s immersive gameplay.
Later on, Deep Silver will release a series of videos detailing the four main weapon classes shown in this trailer: Handguns, Rifles, Shotguns, and Special Weapons. They will be more detailed and show players how they can customize the weapons they find in the Russian wastelands.
