New footage released for MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries

Piranha Games latest game, MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries received nearly three minutes of incredible footage today showing off action, new biomes, and, I quote, “tons of freaking lasers.”

Mechwarrior 5: Mercenaries is the first standalone single-player MechWarrior title developed for PC in nearly 15 years. The campaign will be Mercenary based and driven by player’s choice. There will also be support for co-op as well as the Steam Workshop for players to modify their BattleMechs in an even wider variety of ways.

Featuring an advancing timeline starting in the year 3015, players will adopt the role of a green MechWarrior mercenary thrust into combat as the Third Succession War continues to fracture the Inner Sphere; the vast region of colonized space surrounding Earth. Victory, prestige, and profit will not only require skill on the battlefield, but in the maintenance and enhancement of your BattleMechs.
