NetherRealm Studios Unveils Mortal Kombat X

The next installment in the Mortal Kombat series has been unveiled by developer NetherRealm Studios.

The announcement trailer for Mortal Kombat X features series veterans Scorpion and Sub-Zero duking it out in the woods, showcasing the game’s environmental interaction, weapons, X-ray attacks and the series’ iconic fatalities.

What platforms the game will be released on was not officially confirmed, but the description found with the announcement trailer implies that it will appear only on next-gen consoles.

Expect to see more of Mortal Kombat X next week at E3.
