The PS Vita’s launch is riddled with high-quality games and while those type of games are certainly the backbone of any platform’s software library, having a healthy selection of less expensive indie-style games is essential these days. Super Stardust HD may be the Vita’s downloadable frontrunner, but games like Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack will go a long way towards giving players a variety of unique games to choose from.
“We’re thrilled to have Mutant Blobs Attack as one of the first PlayStation®Vita downloadable titles, and for us to have hit our day-one launch goal,” said Ryan MacLean, CEO of DrinkBox Studios. “Everyone at DrinkBox Studios is super happy with the end product and we decided to sell it for only $7.99. It’s a crazy low price point. Insanely low. I’m insane. HUUAGGGGH Backflip!”
Mutant Blobs Attack is a side-scrolling action/platformer with an art style reminiscent of Cartoon Network shows like Dexter’s Laboratory and Powerpuff girls. The game will be available on the day of the Vita’s official launch on Tuesday, February 22nd for one cent less than $8. Take a gander at a gameplay trailer posted by the developers:
