Minecraft is now available for players to buy on PlayStation 4 through the PlayStation Store, but very soon you’ll be able to get a physical copy of the game in your favorite brick and mortar store.
A post on the PlayStation Blog confirms that you’ll be able to buy a retail copy of the PlayStation 4 version of Minecraft on October 7th. The retail version of the game will still support the cross save functionality seen in the digital version, and will have a day one patch to fix some bugs found before launch.
Recently, Minecraft developer Mojang was bought by Microsoft. However, the company later confirmed that the game wasn’t going to become an Xbox exclusive, and would continue to be supported on other platforms.
