After previewing Metal Eden earlier this month in March (which you can read below via the link), I became a true believer. It's one of those games where it's one thing to watch a trailer or hear about it from a reviewer, but actually having the game in your hands is a totally different feeling. Now that chance is yours, with Metal Eden launching a demo on April 8th, covering the same chapters as the preview build. This first look will allow players to get introduced to the core (pun intended) mechanics of running-and-gunning gameplay and grant your first glimpse at the world of Vulcan.

Ghostrunner meets Doom Eternal in this fast-paced FPS

Metal Eden will officially launch in May, but for more information regarding the free public demo launching in April, read on below and check out the brand-new trailer from the Future Games Spring Showcase.

Larkspur, Calif. (March 20, 2025) - METAL EDEN, the new FPS title from the creators of RUINER, Reikon Games, has announced that players will be able to jump into a free public demo starting April 8 on all platforms. Published by Deep Silver, METAL EDEN is coming to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S May 6.

Public Demo Overview

METAL EDEN´s Mission 0 and 1 will be available for free and for an unlimited period starting April 8 on Steam, PlayStation Store, and Xbox.

Mission 0 introduces players to the core mechanics while teasing the larger mystery behind ASKA’s mission and her unique ability as an android that can be reprinted.

Mission 1, Paradise Lost, builds upon everything players experienced in Mission 0. The mission’s arena encounters start off simple but steadily increase in complexity, challenging players to adapt their strategies. This section also introduces the player upgrade system in two key ways: Body Modules and Weapon Upgrades.

ASKA, a Reprinted Android

The latest METAL EDEN trailer takes players deep into ASKA’s relentless cycle of battle and evolution, following the core gameplay progression that defines her journey.

It opens with a striking scene - ASKA discovering her own lifeless body and extracting her core. This moment introduces the central premise of the game: ASKA dies on her mission, gets reprinted, and tries again, progressing each time and growing stronger.

From there, the action intensifies. ASKA suits up and heads into battle, tearing through enemy lines with her raw power and agility. The trailer reaches its climax with the ultimate show of power - ASKA wielding the game’s most devastating weapon, the Gatling Gun.

This final sequence encapsulates the power fantasy of playing as ASKA at her peak, leaving players eager to step into her role and carve their own path in METAL EDEN. With ASKA’s relentless progression at the heart of METAL EDEN, players will face brutal challenges, evolve their combat abilities, and unleash unstoppable firepower. Stay tuned for more updates as launch approaches.
