Memento Mori once more with the latest trailer for Persona 3 Reload’s DLC expansion, Episode Aigis – The Answer

Today, ATLUS released a new trailer for the upcoming DLC expansion for Persona 3 Reload. Episode Aigis – The Answer is a remake of Persona 3 FES’ (2007) epilogue chapter. Taking place after the main game, Episode Aigis – The Answer follows Aigis and the rest of the S.E.E.S. squad as they try to escape a time loop keeping them trapped in the dorm the day before it shuts down. Working alongside a mysterious android by the name of Metis (Lizzie Freeman), who claims to be Aigis’ sister, the gang explores a dungeon called the Abyss of Time to confront their pasts and decide their futures.

This DLC has you take on the role of Aigis (Dawn Bennett) as she wields new powers, including the power of the Wild Card the protagonist of the base game possessed. Alongside the ability to swap between multiple Personas, you can transfer your save from the base game to carry over your Persona Compendium, allowing Aigis to summon any Personas you’ve registered. Aigis also acquires new Theurgy skills, some the protagonist was able to use but also a few new ones exclusive to The Answer.

The Answer in FES was pure dungeon crawling, but Reload’s remake adds new Linked Episodes. Within the Abyss of Time, you can find key items to give to your team mates to spend some quality time with them. Wile the 2007 version was locked to Hard difficulty, players can play Episode Aigis on any of the base game’s difficulty options as well as a new Heartless difficulty, which prevents you from transfering Personas from the base game.

You can hear the new battle theme in the trailer, titled “Don’t”, which will be available for streaming on Spotify on August 17th alongside the new version of “Heartful Cry”. We adored Persona 3 Reload when we reviewed it earlier this year, and can’t wait to experience this re-imagining of the epilogue. Episode Aigis will be available for download on September 10th as part of Persona 3 Reload’s Expansion Pass.
