Mario Kart 8 Pays Tribute to Excitebike in First DLC Pack

Mario Kart 8’s first DLC pack already includes tributes to Legend of Zelda, but Nintendo announced today that it will also contain a track inspired by Excitebike.

In a new video (which you can view above) Nintendo shows off the Excitebite Arena track that will be part of the game’s first DLC pack launching next month. The track will be one of eight new courses available to players as part of the $7.99 pack.

Also included in the add-on is three new characters (including The Legend of Zelda protagonist Link) and four new karts for you to choose from. A second DLC pack is slated for release in May, and will feature Animal Crossing’s Villager and Isabelle.
