This is a long running series of puzzle games I haven’t played, but it looks similar to Bust-a-Move or Snood. One thing I do know: Arkedo is involved in the development of Magical Drop V, and I’m a big fan of their work, such as Nervous Brickdown and Big Bang Mini on DS. I would expect Magical Drop V to look cool at the very least.
Magical Drop V is a fast-paced puzzle game where players’ speed and skills are put to the test in local and online multiplayer for up to four players. Featuring more than 15 quirky characters to play as, gamers must create chains of balls – three of a kind – in order to send them to their opponent’s puzzle screen, and erase enough on their own to clear the level and claim victory. Relying on fast action and quick thinking to create combos, players must be aware that if the line of balls reaches the bottom of their screen, the game is over.
Lewis Pollak has been a member of the Gaming Trend community since before it held that name, and they finally let him join the staff all these years later, probably so he would stop asking. His illustrious career encompasses such ridiculous decisions as quitting medical school to start a tabletop RPG company and briefly becoming a car salesman.
A gamer since the days of loading 'Hunt the Wumpus' and 'Eliza' from cassette on a TRS-80, Lewis enjoys card and board games, as well as video games. He enjoys the dying breed known as the turn-based RPG, as well as racing, puzzle, and adventure titles. He has also been known to give his life over to MMORPGs for extended periods of time.
