Today, EA and Maxis have announced that The Sims 4 will finally be coming to home consoles on the Xbox One and Playstation 4. This long-awaited adaptation of the popular life “sim” series will contain content that the PC version had as well as plenty of its post-launch content.
As with The Sims 4 on PC, console players can experience and test life’s limits in a world where there are no rules. Fans will have the power to create unique Sims, customizing everything from their hair color and style to their fashion choices and life aspirations. With the room-based Build Mode, players can design and pick décor, effortlessly building their dream home. In the mood to explore? Sims can check out the various neighborhoods and dynamic venues the world offers.
The Sims 4 will also be given DLC down the line, much like the PC game. For those that pre-order The Sims 4 on console, they will receive “The Sims 4 Perfect Patio Stuff” pack. Fans can also pre-order “The Sims 4 Deluxe Party Edition” to receive the game 3 days early and gain special content such as crazy costumes, hats, a Flaming Tiki Bar, and more.
