Lionhead confirms it’s not working on Fable 4

If you were waiting for an announcement of a new mainline Fable game following Fable Legends, Lionhead has some bad news for you.

The studio confirmed in a Twitter conversation with a fan that it isn’t currently working on a fourth Fable, and that Legends will be Lionhead’s focus “for the forseeable future.”

While this doesn’t necessarily rule out that another company could be working on a fourth Fable, given Fable Legends’ imminent launch, it seems unlikely that we’ll see another Fable anytime soon.

Unlike the numbered Fable games, which were all action RPGs, Fable Legends is a 4v1 multiplayer-centric game that allows four players to act as heroes attempting to defeat a dungeon master fifth player. The game will be free-to-play and support cross-platform play between Xbox One and Windows 10 when it launches later in 2015.
