LEGO Universe, the family friendly free-to-play MMO geared towards the younger demographic, is growing up slightly with the introduction of a progression leveling system. Now players can reach a level cap of 40 through in-game missions in addition to receiving rewards such as new equipment and abilities.
“We love to challenge our LEGO Universe builders. We’re regularly adding new content and new bricks for players to continuously evolve and tap into their innermost creativity,” said Jordan Itkowitz, Design Director of LEGO Universe. “With the addition of the leveling system, we’re looking to inspire players to explore deeper into the universe, and tackle more difficult goals than they may have considered before.”
The update will also add a new dungeon instance and four new Faction Kits for players who have aligned with one of the four Nexus Force factions. If you’ve been looking for a game to play with your children and haven’t given LEGO Universe a spin, head to the official website where you can register an account and begin downloading and playing the game for free.
Sean started playing video games in infancy. He was not given a choice as much as a directive from his parents to be the best gamer on Earth. Sean was subjected to 10-12 hours of rigorous daily gaming throughout his youth, mastering the most complex video games and dominating online competitions. Sean's symbiotic relationship with video games led to writing about them for various gaming websites, and he is currently involved in sales strategy and analytics at one of the largest video game publishers in the world. Sean's mission is simple: Turn 100% of the human population into gamers, willingly or otherwise.
