The first time I heard about Inversion, the gravity-bending third-person shooter from Saber Interactive, I thought to myself, “Huh, that could be pretty neat. Psi-Ops and Singularity had some neat gimmicks too!” That was back during E3 2011, and it was the last I saw or heard of the game until it slipped quietly onto retail shelves last week.
I don’t think it’s been selling very well.
Gaming Trend doesn’t report on every single sale that happens somewhere on the internet, but when a major retailer slashes some 65% off the price of a game less than two weeks after its release, it piques my interest. Such is the case with Best Buy’s latest Daily Deal, knocking a whopping $40 of the asking price for both the 360 and PS3 editions of Inversion. The $20 tag looks to only be good in-store though, so you might — after some careful consideration — want to hurry in.
