Hunt Animals For Realsies In Big Game Hunter Kinect

Activision, being the typical corporate entity that it is, is sponsoring a game which lets you act out the killing of innocent animals without having to get real blood on your hands. Okay, that’s a bit dramatic, we have lots of love for Activision… but it’s kinda true when you think about it from a gameplay standpoint.

Announced this morning, Cabela’s Big Game Hunter: Hunter’s Party  will be coming to the Xbox 360 Kinect and gives players the ability to jump, dodge, and weave through digital obstacles of nature such as bushes and rocks. Oh, and you’ll be shooting your way through lots of animals too.

“The Kinect has given us the opportunity to push the boundaries of how gamers approach and play the Cabela’s titles,” said Patrick Kelly, Senior Vice President of Studios for Activision Publishing. “By combining our innovative new Top Shot Sport peripheral with Kinect, we’ve created an immersive hunting experience unlike any other in the marketplace.”

The game will include a lightgun type accessory called the Top Shot Sport, as pictured above, so you won’t actually be using hand gestures to shoot guns. Cabela’s Big Game Hunter: Hunter’s Party  will be available on November 1, 2011.
