Grab some friends and bust some ghosts, Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord is now available for PSVR2 and Meta Quest

Get ready for some multiplayer ghostbusting mayhem in Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord, now available on the PlayStation VR2, Meta Quest 2, Quest 3, and Quest Pro. This highly anticipated VR game allows players to step into the Ghostbusters world and take down a large variety of ghosts while working as a team. CULVER CITY, Calif. (Oct. 26, 2023) – Today, Sony Pictures Virtual Reality (SPVR) and award-winning VR developer, nDreams, have announced that the highly anticipated VR game, Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord, is available now on PlayStation VR2, Meta Quest 2, Quest 3 and Quest Pro. Players can now suit up and step foot into the iconic universe everyone knows and loves in its newest adventure set in San Francisco. Players on the Meta Quest platform can also access Mini-Puft Mayhem, the minigame showcasing Quest 3’s mixed-reality capabilities.

“It’s time for players to step into the immersive world of Ghostbusters in a way that’s only possible with virtual reality,” says Jake Zim, Senior Vice President, Virtual Reality, Sony Pictures Entertainment. “Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord puts the power of the proton pack into the hands of those eager to bust their way through this iconic universe. With so many ways to play, and the ability to team up with up to three friends on PS VR2 and Meta Quest headsets with crossplay, the fun of busting ghosts is endless. This is just the beginning, and we have so much more to share with our players in long-term support for the game.”

Players who pre-ordered the Full Containment Edition prior to launch can now equip their exclusive ‘Gold Rush’ proton pack skin in-game at the San Francisco HQ workbench. New recruits to the Ghostbusters universe can expect six months of free and paid downloadable content, with the first of many character skins, ‘Alice Aces,’ available for purchase today on all platforms.

Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord is available now on the PlayStation Store and Meta Quest Store for $34.99 USD. The Full Containment Edition, which bundles six months of post-launch DLC, is available for $54.99 USD on the PlayStation Store and Meta Quest Store.

For those who have purchased the base game, six months of post-launch DLC can still be purchased separately with the Full Containment Edition Upgrade on PlayStation Store and Meta Quest Store for $19.99 USD.
