Mekazoo, a vibrantly colored 2.5D platformer, will be officially released on November 15 for PC, Xbox One, and PS4. PS4 in Europe, however, is still listed as “coming soon.” Good Mood Creators has also released a new trailer showcasing the game’s so-called “hive mind” co-op mode.
“We’re honored to announce the final launch date of Mekazoo and are confident that gamers will love this free-flowing, momentum-friendly co-op game paying homage to classic 90’s platformers,” said Good Mood Creators co-founder Jarrett Slavin in the company’s press release.
In case you haven’t seen it, enjoy the Mekazoo gameplay trailer below:
In Mekazoo, you control five unique characters: Armadillo, Frog, Wallaby, Panda, and Pelican. During the game, you’ll seamlessly swap (sometimes in mid-air) between the different characters, utilizing each Mekanimal’s abilities to overcome obstacles, dodge or eliminate enemies, and to score points.
The co-op mode allows each player to control one Mekanimal, but only one may be present on-screen at a time. Players must work together and think quickly, timing their switches properly in order to navigate the hazards of Mekazoo’s lush, neon jungle.
