God of War Ragnarök free DLC Valhalla available on December 12

Free DLC for God of War Ragnarök was announced tonight during The Game Awards, titled Valhalla.  This new free DLC will be available for download on December 12th, 2023 and serves as an epilogue to God of War Ragnarök and follows Kratos on a personal and reflective journey featuring combat reminiscent of rougelites. To show their appreciation for the incredible support and love you’ve given the game since its release last year, Santa Monica Studio has been working on a surprise for the God of War community.

As fans of their fans, they are thrilled to announce that on December 12*, they’ll be releasing a free DLC as a gift to players – God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla!

Please note, you must own God of War Ragnarök to be able to download God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla for free on December 12 via the PlayStation Store! *

*God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla will be an epilogue to the events of God of War Ragnarök that follows Kratos on a deeply personal and reflective journey.

*Santa Monica Studio challenged themselves to make something different from anything they’ve done before in God of War history.

*God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla celebrates the combat you know and love from God of War Ragnarök and blends it with fresh, experimental elements inspired by the roguelite genre.

*During each attempt, you will learn and adapt to the challenges Valhalla has to offer. The more you overcome, the more resources you’ll gain that can be put towards permanent upgrades that affect both Kratos and even Valhalla itself.
