Gearbox has announced that it has completed development of Battleborn and that it is ready for its May 3rd launch.
News of this comes from company president Randy Pitchford, who took to Twitter to confirm the development milestone.
Exciting news: Battleborn retail is ready! Back in the day we would say “Gone Gold!” Team is stoked and hard at work on support, beta, etc.

Despite the retail version of Battleborn being ready, Pitchford stated in a separate tweet that the game’s upcoming beta would be critical to making sure the game runs smoothly at launch, and that players should expect to see an update to integrate fixes and feedback based on the beta testing.
Battleborn was originally set to launch back in February, but was later delayed into May, and will come to PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. For more on Gearbox’s latest, check out our latest preview and interview with publisher 2K about the game’s conception.
