Before we dive into the first major update, I wanted to take a moment to catch you all up on Jump Space. For starters, be sure to check out the gameplay trailer!
Jump Space (formerly Jump Ship) is a mission based co-op FPS for up to 4 players, where you are the crew of a spaceship. Transition seamlessly from crewing the ship to on-foot exploration and space walks. Engage in intense battles both on the ground and in space, and always keep your ship upgraded and intact. Teamwork is key for survival and victory.
We love co-op games, and we love space. Jump Space is our attempt to make both work together.
Features
Jump across the universe - Select from a variety of hand crafted missions with random elements. No two runs will be exactly the same.
Seamlessly go on and off ship - Once you’ve jumped with your ship, you can switch seamlessly between operating your ship, space walking and on-foot planetary exploration, it just works.
Upgrade, maintain, repair - Manage your ship as you scavenge for parts to upgrade or repair it, and adapt it to fit your needs.
Fly with a crew, or go solo - Jump Space is best enjoyed with friends, but solo adventurers are welcome too.
Alright, so now that we have a basis for the game, we need to take a quick look at the Roadmap to know where we stand now that the first update is out!

First Update!
Stockholm, Sweden; October 27th, 2025 — Keepsake Games, a Swedish development studio founded by veterans from Hazelight, Mojang, and Coffee Stain, are thrilled to announce that their spacefaring adventure, Jump Space, is getting its first major Early Access update, titled “The Vendor Update”.
Jump Space enjoyed a successful launch, selling over 430,000 copies in its first three weeks and debuting among Steam’s top five global best-sellers in its opening weekend. The Keepsake Games team is excited to build upon this success with Update One, the game's first major content drop.
The Vendor Update will offer players a host of exciting new gameplay and expand mission variety including:
Introduction of Melee Weapons – Get up close and personal with enemies thanks to newly added crowbars and wrenches. This will be the first of multiple melee weapons to be rolled out in Jump Space, with a dedicated block and deflect system being developed to lay the grounds for advanced melee combat mechanics.

Brand New Sectors – Players are invited to explore even more of the galaxy! Eight new handcrafted levels will be introduced, featuring new objectives for crews to take on. Delve into new outposts on desert planets and defend a ringed outpost from a Legion ship siege.
New Hangar Vendors – Familiar faces Vosk and Bozze are taking on a brand-new role in the hangar, they’re now fully stocked vendors! Vosk is ready to sell your crew Artifacts that give exciting upgrades before each mission, while Bozze has a range of weapons and gear to make sure players are ready to fight.

Sector Modifiers – Encounter some chaotic speedbumps on your galactic journey with additional sector modifiers including: Materia Disruption Field, High Legion Presence and Ion Rift to spice up your runs.

Alongside these updates, Keepsake Games are also introducing the first of many seasonal events. Halloween is just around the corner, so take part in the festivities and help Bozze collects pumpkins for his decorations to earn the limited time Jack-O-Lantern cosmetic.
“We’re super excited to get The Vendor Update out there” said Daniel Kaplan, CEO at Keepsake Games. “The reaction to Jump Space has been incredible and we can’t wait to continue building the game with our community. We’ve been listening closely to feedback and hope that our players will love these new additions - now go out there, grab a wrench and fight metal with metal!”
Jump Space is available on PC and Xbox now ($19.99, £16.75, €19.90). For more information, visit the official website or follow Jump Space on Discord.
