If you own a VR headset you are probably frustrated with trying to figure out what’s fun, what’s trash, and what falls in between. It’s very reminiscent of the App Store, as hundreds of derivative titles flood the market. Today we are announcing that we’ll be partnering with VRGameCritic to aggregate our VR reviews with theirs, helping us spread the word on this growing new platform.
VRGameCritic has already aggregated 3500 reviews from over 240 sites, making it an authority on the VR space. So, if you just picked up a Vive, Rift, or PSVR and wondered “Ok, that was expensive — what games are worth buying?” you’ll now have an authority on the games we haven’t yet covered here at GamingTrend.
Speaking with the co-founders, Edna and Christian Vestol, they believe that a VR-focused site was needed as the medium is still evolving and growing, and it would be patently unfair to compare them to the well-established triple-A titles coming to PC and consoles on a regular basis. This would allow them to recognize the front runners of the platform, including their 2016 best Vive game, The Gallery – Episode 1: Call of the Starseed, best Rift title, DiRT Rally, and best PSVR release, Rez Infinite.
We’d like to welcome VRGC as a partner, and look forward to celebrating their success.
