Big ol’ heads up today that 1047 Games has shared a brand new video unveiling its map creator feature for Splitgate 2, The Lab, ahead of the game’s crossplay open beta on May 22. 

This powerful creator allows anyone to jump in and design custom maps and modes, no experience required. There’s depth for those wanting to dive deep, but if casuals want to pick up and flex their skills, they can go for it too. Make your wildest dreams come true with The Lab’s easy to use controls. 

Collaborate in real time on maps with your friends (up to 16 at one time) and quickly share your maps with players around the world. 1047 has provided a variety of blank canvas templates to start, as well as scalable geometric shapes, prefab’d map items courtesy of SSL (the in-universe Sol Splitgate League), environmental props and other gameplay objects to bring your vision to life. 

1047 has built The Lab alongside the community and for the community – this is just the beginning. There is a lot of content planned for the map creator system post launch. Jump into the open beta on May 22 and start creating.
