Evolve’s Beta, Single Player, and Third Monster Detailed

A flood of new information on Turtle Rock Studios’ 4v1 shooter Evolve has been revealed today, including a new trailer spotlighting the game’s third monster, confirmation of offline single player, and concrete dates for the game’s Xbox One exclusive beta.

The beta will begin for Xbox One players on January 15th and will last until January 19th. When the beta starts, those participating will be able to play the standard “Hunt” mode, while continuous play will unlock new monsters and hunters, both of which will carry over to the core game when it launches on February 10th.

PC and PS4 players who took part in the game’s “Big Alpha” will have access to a “smaller closed technical test” on January 16th and 17th respectively. These smaller tests “will not include Evacuation or have Hunter and Monster unlocks carry over to Evolve’s launch.”

Along with this information, Turtle Rock revealed that Evolve will also be playable entirely offline with computer-controlled hunters and monsters taking the place of players.
