Noita, from Nolla Games in Helsinki, is an action roguelite game where they claim that “every pixel is simulated.” The trailer showcases the impressive looking tech where everything blows up into tiny bits. Not only can everything be blown up, but it seems you’ll have all sorts of different ways to tear down the game world in satisfying and destructive ways.
The game was announced alongside the studio, a collaboration between three guys who were responsible for the likes of indie darling The Swapper as well as Crayon Physics Deluxe and Environmental Station Alpha. Nolla Games gave no release date; the only information they gave is that it will be coming out on Steam.
It has an interesting technical hook, and I look forward to seeing if the rest of the roguelite gameplay can hold its own.
