Bandai Namco and FromSoftware have shared a new tease for the upcoming Elden Ring Tarnished Edition on Nintendo Switch 2, spotlighting two additional starting classes: the Heavy Knight and the Idus Knight. The reveal was accompanied by a poetic in-world message: "Two unseen paths, drawn by the faintest trace of grace. Tread carefully; demigods do not suffer fragile ambitions." The Heavy Knight is described as a knight clad in bulky steel armor, capable of pushing through foes with an appropriately oversized scimitar. This class starts at Level 10 with a stat spread that leans hard into physical resilience: 14 Vigor, 17 Endurance, and 15 Strength, backed by 11 Dexterity and lower magical stats.
The Idus Knight, by contrast, hails from the land of Idus and is renowned for lightweight attire and weaponry wielded with sharp dexterity. Starting at Level 7, the class balances agility and versatility with 15 Dexterity, 13 Strength, and 12 Mind, along with a more even distribution across Vigor, Endurance, and Faith.
