Bandai Namco Entertainment has revealed a new trailer spotlighting the Death Game Mode in their upcoming action RPG Echoes of Aincrad. True to its name, the mode puts everything on the line: you get one life, one playthrough, and no respawns to survive the virtual world where dying in-game means dying in real life.
Set in the popular Sword Art Online universe, Echoes of Aincrad invites you into the vibrant floating castle for a fresh take on the franchise's signature death game premise. For the first time in the series, the protagonist is fully defined by you through extensive avatar customization, embracing the meta of Sword Art Online's setting.
Echoes of Aincrad launches July 10 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, with early access to the Death Game Mode included in the Deluxe and Ultimate Editions.
