Electronic Arts is installing their own streaming service called EA Access starting today.
This new streaming service is out exclusively on the Xbox One and will grant subscribers to older EA games through The Vault, a 10% discount on DLC and digital purchases, and most impressively, access to new retail releases five days early. The subscription model for EA Access features a monthly fee of $4.99 or an annual charge of $29.99.
As of right now, the only games available on The Vault are Madden NFL 25, FIFA 14, Peggle 2, and Battlefield 4. Electronic Arts describes The Vault as an “evolving selection of EA’s Xbox One games that EA Access members can download and play while an active member.” Due to that language, it seems like there will be games rolled into and out of The Vault on a regular basis.
As of right now, EA Access is only available in Australia, Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, United Kingdom, and the United States with other territories to follow.
You can download EA Access now through the EA Access Hub on your Xbox One.
